Project: An SEO-friendly English website transcreation
Client: Sara Tirabassi, an Italian life sciences translator
Specialising in life sciences, physics graduate Sara translates complex scientific material into Italian and works with clients in English-speaking countries and those using English as a second language.
After creating her Italian website, she needed an English version that did more than just "work". It needed to feel natural to US, UK and international audiences, and reflect her authoritative but approachable style. For this reason, she opted for transcreation — a blend of translation and creative copywriting.
After getting to know Sara and what made her so special, I got to work. The project involved:
Refining the English brand voice to capture her approachable, friendly personality and give clients a taste of what they could expect when they chose to work with her. B2B copy doesn’t have to always be straight-laced and bland - we played with language to show that Sara is creative as well as scientific.
Creating several versions of the more creative elements, such as headings, along with a rationale explaining the adaptations. This allowed Sara to choose her favourite option or to A/B test different options in the future.
Adapting the copy to make the benefits of working with Sara even clearer to her audience.
Carrying out light keyword research and incorporating relevant keywords into the copy on the main website pages to make it easier for potential clients to find Sara’s services.
