Before I focused on copywriting for sustainable businesses, I spent 10 years in marketing and advertising. But, as rewarding as those high-profile international accounts were, the way many of them operated was in stark contrast to my values.
So when I retrained as a copywriter and translator in 2017, I knew I wanted to partner with mission-driven brands who treat sustainability as a dealbreaker rather than an afterthought.
Since then, I’ve worked with natural skincare brands, poverty charities, alt-protein innovators and more. 1% of my revenue goes directly to charities doing great stuff for people and the planet such as seagrass restoration, whale and dolphin protection and tree planting.
Eco geek for life
Sustainability and me… we go way back. At nine, a children’s newspaper first opened my eyes to the environmental crisis and I promptly set up a litter-picking squad. Was I teased? Absolutely.
It’s now come full circle. These days, you’re more likely to find me volunteering at my local sustainability market, upcycling vintage fabric or searching for hacks to get my kids to waste less food. And I love how I now get to create thoughtful copywriting for purpose-driven brands like yours.
