I worked with my client, a clean beauty skincare startup committed to sustainable packaging solutions, to develop their brand voice and create SEO-friendly D2C website copy that would resonate with their eco-conscious target market.

Aimed at natural beauty enthusiasts and clean beauty converts, our challenge was to identify and create a brand voice to bring their warm, down-to-earth brand personality to life. During the process, we explored the voice used by leading non-toxic beauty brands and eco-conscious consumers to learn how we could use words to position the brand distinctively while maintaining audience appeal. The mini-guide included key examples of the tone of voice in action, easy-to-follow writing guidelines and a word bank of conscious beauty terminology and phrases.

I then conducted keyword analysis to identify the optimal keywords based on green beauty consumer behaviour and competition, creating a keyword map for the website.

Once my client was happy with the brand voice and keyword research, I refined their existing website copy through copyediting. Beyond optimising for brand voice and SEO, my edits enhanced the text’s flow and persuasiveness. Professional copyediting is a great budget solution for clean beauty startups who have a vision for their message but need help articulating it effectively.

We included two rounds of amendments to fine-tune the copy before launch time!
